Älplisee and Schwellisee
During this hike, you will reach 2 out of a total of 10 lakes in Arosa. Starting from the Hörnli valley station, you walk to Älplisee and then to Schwellisee. In the end, you return to Hörnli.
Hörnliweg Zermatt
Those in Zermatt should tread this path at least once. It was from here that the first climbers set out on July 14, 1865, to conquer the Matterhorn. Of the seven alpinists, only three returned to the village of Zermatt, including the British climber Edward Whymper. At the Hörnlihütte, you can feel, touch, and experience the Matterhorn. It looms majestically above the hut. The climbing route from here follows the Hörnli Ridge to the summit. From the hut's terrace, you can observe climbers (binoculars required) embarking on their ascent in the early hours with headlamps.
Stockhorn
We did the the hike Stockhorn-Strüssligrat-Oberstockenalp with stunning views. It’s an exciting alternative for sure-footed and vertigo-free mountain hikers.
Lötschberger
A summer hike in Lötschberger southern approach Hohtenn - Naters.
Giessbach Falls
Originating in the high valleys and basins of the Faulhorn-Sägis Valley, the Giessbach brook flows gracefully, nourishing the renowned Giessbach Falls. These falls cascade into Lake Brienz near the landing stage. Since the 19th century, a footpath has guided visitors to venture close to and beneath the waterfall. Over the years, the 14 steps of the Giessbach Falls have been christened with the names of Bernese heroes, preserving a historical connection to this natural wonder.
Creux du Van
The colossal rock amphitheater, spanning a diameter of over a kilometer, took shape over millions of years through the relentless forces of water and ice erosion. Towering vertical cliffs, reaching heights of more than 160 meters, encircle a profound valley. This truly awe-inspiring location offers a breathtaking 360° vista, showcasing the nearby lakes, the majestic Alps, the valleys of Jura, and extending all the way to France.
Les Brenets – Saut du Doubs
Enjoy a calmer Sunday at Les Brenets – Saut du Doubs. The sleeping nature beauty of canton Jura will calm your soul.
Fiescheralp - Bettmeralp
One of my favorite winter hikes is from Bettmeralp to Fiescheralp (or the other way round). You‘ll enjoy a white landscape that will calm your body and soul.
